Four-Peat Winnings: PSE rules as the best stock exchange in SEA region

Philippine Stock Exchange debarred other counterpart stock exchanges throughout Southeast Asia region for winning the best stock exchange for four consecutive times within five years.
Alpha Southeast Asia, a magazine, crowned the Philippines as the best performing stock exchange through the criteria of investments, literacy initiatives, products launched, and technology developments which outperformed other SEA countries such as Singapore and Malaysia.
The Magazine’s Marquee Award acclaimed the country’s stock exchange for the upbeat progress of the PSE this year and they are optimistic for treating PSE as the “strongest potential for growth in 2018”.
"The Philippine Stock Exchange stands apart given its continuing investments in its internal systems to facilitate the upside potential the country now represents after years in the shadows of its neighbors," Alpha Southeast Asia claimed.
PSE President and Chief Executive Officer Ramon Monzon expressed his gratitude for the four-straight win highlighting the hard work of the PSE Team and the support backed by the regulators and the various stakeholders.
Additionally, the CEO Monzon assured the public for continuing their best to make their vision comes true as a “world-class exchange”.
“Given the solid economic fundamentals of the country as the global economic outlook improves and investors return to what is increasingly known as the safest haven in Asia with improving investment prospects for foreign and institutional investors,” the investment magazine commended.
Meanwhile, PSEi opened the year with a gain of 2.5 percent since January 3 with the total capital raised in the market of P163.35 billion last year.
Marquee Awards is the yearly recognition of Alpha Southeast Asia for the best and most influential players in the field of finance and treasury like in the field of stock exchange.
PSE will be awarded on February 13 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
