Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Secretary Ramon Lopez presented Duterteconomics – the socioeconomic policies of Pres. Rodrigo Duterte during the PH-India Business Forum last January 24.

The Trade Chief encouraged Indian businessmen and investors to partner with the Philippines that will help to boost the country’s income for businesses and generation operations.
Some delegates from Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) were also encouraged to join on the going Philippine growth story.
Under Duterteconomics, the government’s “Build, Build, Build” infrastructure program will be useful in facilitating greater trade and investment. It will also open to possibilities for greater opportunities needed by the country’s economic growth.
“The initiatives under Duterteconomics can help support investors by creating an environment where companies can do business swiftly and efficiently,” said Secretary Lopez.
Today, our country’s GDP is 6.9 percent and there is 39 percent growth in the Board of Investments that’s why Lopez urged investors to be a part of the country’s economic growth.
“The hallmark of Duterteconomics is to attain growth with equity. That is addressing inequality while reducing poverty across the regions towards improved quality of life for all,” he added.
